Handmade for the Holidays, Pt 1
Why not delve into handmaking gifts or more sustainable options this holiday season?
In part one of this blog series, we will focus on resources available from the library to start a hobby that involves making and/or sustainability. Think quilting, knitting, woodworking. In part two, we will focus on handmade decorations and food. The library has a variety of books, digital resources and even STEAM Kits to get you started.
We also have a virtual event coming up in partnership with the Sustainability and Environmental Education Division called Green Gift Guide. Join us on Wednesday, November 15 at 12pm via Zoom to get inspiration for enjoyable and earth-friendly gifts for the whole family. Ideas include handmade items, technology to conserve resources, local experiences and more. Register to attend live or view the recording on the Plano Public Library YouTube channel.
