Adobe at the Library

Expand you personal and professional design skills with the Adobe Creative Suite available through the Plano Public Library.

Digital Creation Spaces 

Plano Public Library has two Digital Creation Spaces: one at Haggard Library and another at Parr Library. Digital Creation Spaces have computers with Adobe Creative Cloud, and various equipment including cameras, tripods, microphones and studio lighting for use while in the space. Kids 13-17 require parent/guardian permission to use the space. 


Adobe Computers 

Davis, Parr, Schimelpfenig and Haggard libraries have designated computers equipped with the Adobe Creative Suite. This includes InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and more. Bring photos to edit, videos to compile, audio to adjust and more. 

While the library is offering limited services, the Adobe computers can be reserved as part of a computer appointment. More information can be found under the Computer Access Appointment Instructions.

Lynda.com

Lynda.com is a subscription service that is available for free through Plano Public Library. In order to get free access to this service, you must visit our webpage at planolibrary.org and use the Lynda.com link. This will bring you to a special log-in screen to enter your library card number and PIN. Once you’ve logged in, you will have access to a library of courses valued at up to $360 per year, for free!  

Lynda includes courses on all of the Adobe Creative Suite programs, and can be sorted by skill level and software. For more information on using Lynda.com check out Polish Your Skills with Lynda

Virtual programs  

Visit the library YouTube channel for classes and workshops on various Adobe programs focuses on specific projects and skills levels. Classes include Adobe Photoshop 101, Design a Business Card, and Photo Restoration with Photoshop
