Winter Break Programs

Are you looking for things to do during your time off? Plano Public Library has programs the whole family can enjoy during the winter break. You can see all library programs on our downloadable PDF on our website or pick up printed copies at any of our locations.

Plano Public Library will be closed Thursday December 23 to Saturday, December 25, Saturday, January 1 and Monday, January 3. The rest of the month is filled with a variety of programs. For ticketed programs, please visit the desk 30 minutes prior to the program to guarantee your space. Check out programs in these fun categories:

3D Printing Class

Learn the basics of 3D printing and get an introduction to 3D design in a 90-minute lesson. Students under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the class. Bring a USB flash drive to save your projects.

Les Murray is a NASA Solar System Ambassador. SSAs are motivated volunteers trained by NASA Scientists, Project Managers and Astronauts on NASA programs and missions. Find out what is up in the sky at this time and how to observe it. Les will also answer your questions about space, the sky and NASA missions. Take a look at the sky through a powerful telescope and see Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune!

Glow in the Dark Storytime

It’s “Lights Out” at the library! Stories, songs, dancing and illuminated art under the black lights. Wear something white or fluorescent so you glow. Please arrive on time as the room will be dark once the program begins.
