Put STEAM Kits on Hold

Starting October 1, STEAM Kits are available for requesting hold across the entire Plano Public Library system!

Previously, you could only place holds on STEAM Kits at Haggard Library, while at other locations you could check out kits if they were available on the shelves. This means you can find a kit on our catalog (see the full list here), request a hold and pick up the STEAM Kit at your desired library location. With five libraries in Plano you can find one near home, work or school easily.

STEAM Kits are a collection of books, DVDs and hands-on activities to explore various science, technology, engineering, arts and math topics. Topics include: weaving, the human body, water, insects, robots and music. There are kits specifically for preschool ages, teens and adults, and all kits have recommended ages listed on the front covers, which you can see on our website.

Want to learn more about STEAM? We offer dozens of all-age events throughout the season perfect for an introduction to coding, robots, art, 3D printing, building and video creation. See our brochure on our website to see what’s on the schedule through December.
