Collaborations and Partnerships

As part of the Family Place™ initiative, Plano Public Library partners with local community organizations that serve families with young children. These partnerships help us share information about available community resources and enhance our programs and services. Click on the links below to learn more about our current partners. 

ChildCareGroup 
Specialties: Early Literacy and General Parenting 
ChildCareGroup supports children, families and early childhood professionals. Their Born Learning program supports families through home visits that guide the development and progress of each family’s unique needs. Services are available for families with children from birth through age five. 

Children’s Health 
Specialties: Nutrition 
Children’s Health supports healthy, balanced diets for families to support overall health and wellness. Their services support and treat a variety of conditions and concerns with treatments including nutrition, healthy eating habits, and medical nutrition therapy. 

Early Childhood Interventions of LifePath Systems 
Specialties: Child Development 
Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) offers support for families of young children with disabilities or developmental delays. Available services include screenings and assessments, skills training, therapy, education and counseling, and more. Services are available for families with children from birth through age three. 

Family Compass 
Specialties: Child Development, Early Literacy and General Parenting 
Family Compass supports the learning and development of children to build healthy families. Their Growing As Parents program provides free home-mentoring parent education and support. Services include developmental screenings, personalized support, and group connections. Services are available for families with children from birth through age five. 

Sound Starts Music Therapy 
Specialties: Music and Movement  
Sound Starts Music Therapy provides therapy and adapted music lessons for children, giving them opportunities to learn through music. Music therapy supports cognitive, communication, motor and social skills. Services are available for all ages. 

UTD Callier Center for Communication Disorders 
Specialties: Speech, Language and Hearing 
The Callier Center works with children and families to develop and strengthen communication skills. Available services include evaluations, therapy, and group programs. Services for autism disorders, pediatric balance and cochlear implants are also available.
