STEAM Learning

STEAM, or Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math, is a major focus area for your Plano Public Library, and the world of education as a whole. We have many resources available to you to begin or expand your STEAM journey.

Your library offers many STEAM programs each season, which you can get an idea of through our STEAM Connections playlist on YouTube. You can see our virtual STEAM program recaps on the blog, with embedded videos and instructions for each activity.

STEAM Kits are prepackaged learning topics, available for check out at the library. These kits are geared for particular age ranges based on what is included, from preschool through adults. Each kit includes a hands-on component, books and DVDs to learn more about the topic. You can see the full list of STEAM Kits on our website here, and in the Plano Public Library catalog you can place Kits on hold at any of our five locations. *NOTE: Libraries are closed due to the current health crisis. Items are not available for checkout nor can you place holds.

See how you can use some of these STEAM Kits in action in our STEAM Minute playlist on YouTube
