Routh-Campbell Family Collection

The Genealogy Center has added a new collection to the Collin County Images: the Routh-Campbell Family Collection.

This collection consists of images and documents related to the family of Jacob and Lodemia Routh, one of the early families in Plano. Jacob Routh moved from Tennessee and settled in the Plano area, where he met Lodemia Campbell. They were married around 1850 and had nine children – seven girls and two boys. Many of the photographs and documents are about the girls and their families.

The collection was sent to the Genealogy Center over the last five years via email from Patricia Briggs, the great-great-granddaughter of Jacob Routh and great-granddaughter of Effie Routh Mendenhall. Briggs gathered the images and documents from her family and other collections and continues to share additional items that will be added to the collection in the future. We are excited to make these pieces of Plano history available to the public at this time.

You can find the Routh-Campbell collection on the Collin County Images site.
