Plano Public Library offers many educational and engaging workshops to the community, including those looking to boost their business and career skills. We have worked with many local partners to share their expertise in business, including Debra Austin, of Chaos2Results Business Coaching, and Don Walter, a SCORE Mentor for businesses. Read more about their experience working with the library and teaching others about business success.
Chaos2Results Business Coaching
“As a small business owner and a business coach, I know the challenges of running a business and keeping it thriving. The Plano Library offers hundreds of books on marketing, sales, leadership and business management. It also offers technology access and resources for market research as well as programs on prospecting, increasing productivity, social media, public speaking and so much more. A library card is free for Plano residents and the 7 reciprocal cities of Allen, Frisco, Garland, McKinney, Richardson, The Colony and Wylie. You can’t find a better value than that!”
Austin hosted Essentials for Sales Success on Friday, May 7, teaching attendees how to use essential sales skills to increase your sales and grow your business exponentially over time.
SCORE Mentor for businesses through the SCORE partnership with the Small Business Administration
“SCORE and the Plano libraries work together to connect local entrepreneurs to resources and tools to take a great idea and turn it into a growing business. Many entrepreneurs don’t realize the amount of research and number of activities required to start a business. That’s why it’s important to connect to resources provided by organizations like SCORE, the Small Business Development Center, and Plano Public Library.”
