Something about Libby: Search Tips

There is so much to read and listen to on Libby that it hard to narrow it down. Get ready to be become a pro at finding your next favorite read!


Set your preferences!
  1. Tap search at the bottom of the page.
  2. Tap next to
  3. Change the filters that matter to you:
    1. Subjects
    2. Date Added
    3. Format: eBooks, AudioBooks, Magazine, or Read-a-longs
    4. Language
    5. Audience:
    6. Supports
    7. Availability
  4. Tap Apply Preferences.

You can change your preferences even after you begin your search


Search for Titles Or Authors
  1. Tap search at the bottom of the page.
  2. Write your search words. This can be an author name, a title, or a keyword.
  3. As you type, “search suggestions” will appear below. If you find what you are looking for in those results, click on it!
  4. You can always just press enter and see all the results without having to click on any of the suggestions.

Find items by subject

If you don’t have a specific book or author in mind, you can always see what the library has to offer by looking through PPL’s subjects.

  1. Tap  in the footer.

2. Find the grey square bubbles at the top of the screen and select subjects 

3. You will see a list of all the subjects we have and it is a lot! The numbers next to the subject is how many items are in each subject. You can sort the subjects Alphabetically or by the number of items it has.
