Plano Learns: Photoshop Product Photography

Are you interested in starting an online business selling products or services? Quality photos are a must.

On July 8, 2020 Plano Public Library hosted a virtual workshop on using Adobe Photoshop to boost your product photos. Attendees learned how to stage and edit product photos in Photoshop.

Lynda.com 

Provides online training courses that cover a variety of topics (including business, design, web development and multimedia skills) and software (Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite and open source applications). Requires a Plano Public Library card.

  • See our Polish Your Skills with Lynda blog posts, with recorded video tutorial by our staff, to understand how Lynda works. 
  • In Lynda.com, there is an entire section dedicated to Photoshop Training and Tutorials – with more than 400 courses and 17,000 videos. See the latest new releases, Learning Paths and any weekly series available. 
  • You can choose your skill level (beginner, intermediate and advanced) and the version of Photoshop you are using to better tailor which videos you see in the list. Here are some courses we suggest: 

Photoshop 2020 Essential Training: The Basics by Julieanne Kost, released 11/2019. Includes working with layers and masks, customizing your interface, and working with smart objects.

Photoshop 2020 One-on-One: Fundamentals by Deke McCelland, released 12/2019. Includes how to crop and straighten photos, adjust brightness and contrast, and how to retouch portraits.
