Pulleys

A variation on the wheel and axle system, a pulley is a type of simple machine that has helped humans build large structures for thousands of years. Pulleys you see everyday include the ropes used to raise and lower flags on flagpoles and the cords used on blinds in many windows. Follow along to learn more about pulleys, and make your own!

Ready to travel? To virtually explore the world? Join us on a virtual field trip to Ashikaga Flower Park!
